Born in 1948 in Doha, Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani is a pioneer in the cultural field. His passion and dedication for collecting artifacts and memorabilia have always gone hand in hand with his appetite for travel. Since his childhood, Sheikh Faisal has visited museums of all kinds around the globe - thanks to his father’s support and encouragement.

Each piece in his collection mirrors the journey undertaken for new discoveries and the craving for unique and eclectic objects to connect with Qatari and Islamic heritage from new and different angles.
Under the League of Arab States’ patronage, the Arab Center for Tourism Media, Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani received the title of ‘Heritage personality’ in 2012. The award commemorated his proactive role in encouraging heritage preservation across the Arab world.
